Ajit Agarkar is in charge of the current selection committee, which is headed by Shiv Sundar Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, and Sridharan Sharath. There may be a hunt underway for Salil Ankola's replacement on the committee. The BCCI website has the application form, and applications must be submitted by January 25th. Playing at least seven Tests or thirty-First Class matches and having retired from cricket five years ago are eligibility prerequisites.

Applications are being accepted for the Men's Selection Committee members by
the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The application form,
however, is only available for one position on the selection committee.

The present member of the selection committee who would be on leave, though,
was not specified.
Speaking about the selecting committee that is
in place now, Shiv Sundar Das, Sridharan Sharath, Salil
Ankola, and Subroto Banerjee are members of the Ajit Agarkar-led
selection committee. Salil Ankola might not be on the selection
committee anymore if rumors from the media are to be accepted. A successor is
now being sought.
Regarding the Selection Committee position,
applications must be filed by January 25th in order to be considered.
Applications may be made online at the BCCI website. The chosen applicants will
then be contacted for in-person interviews. Talking about the eligibility for
the role, the individual applying should have retired from cricket five years
ago and should not have been a member of any selection committee in the past
five years.
In addition to all of this, the applicant has to
have participated in at least seven tests, or 30 ODIs, and twenty first-class
matches.
India's T20 series matchup vs. Afghanistan
It is notable because the Indian side is now
engaged in a three-match Twenty20 series with Afghanistan. After two games were
played, the Indian team emerged victorious in the series. The series' final
game will now take place on Wednesday, January 17, at Bangalore's M Chinnaswamy
Stadium. Before the 2024 T20 World Cup, this is Team India's final T20
series. Indian athletes will only play in the IPL after this.
