The team from Lucknow will kick-start their campaign against Rajasthan Royals on March 24.

Super Giants (LSG) have appointed South Africa’s Lance Klusener as assistant coach for the upcoming
season. The franchise secured the services of the 52-year-old ex-all-rounder on
Friday.Klusener will work alongside
Justin Langer and S. Sriram. Lucknow
will begin their campaign in IPL 2024 against 2008, supports Rajasthan Royals
in Jaipur on March 24.
Lucknow, playing in this league for the first time in 2022,
successfully reached the playoffs in both seasons. However, on both occasions,
the team didn't make it to the final as they got eliminated in the eliminators.
With Klusener alongside Langer, the
challenge for the team will be to get closer to the title. Apart from his
association with Delhi Capitals (DC), he has also coached the Mumbai Indians
(MI).

Giants
Klusener is also the head coach of the South African franchise
Durban Super Giants of LSG. He has contributed coaching expertise to multiple
teams internationally, including serving as an assistant coach for regional
teams in Delhi and Tripura
Durban Super Giants reached the final in the
previous season in SA20. Sunrisers defeated
them in the final by 89 runs.

first CPL victory
Klusener led Guyana Warriors to their first Caribbean Premier
League title. The team defeated Trinbago
Knight Riders by 9 wickets in the final of the previous season. Apart from
coaching South Africa and Zimbabwe batting, he has also served as the head
coach of Afghanistan.
